Hello guys,

Hello guys,

Maybe someone can help me a bit. I just finished a new build with the ROG Swift as the cherry on top. My GPU is a ZOTAC GTX 980 reference with a GA-Z97MX mobo. I'm getting no signal on the Asus Rog Swift monitor (obviously) through the display port, and I've tested the card on my tv via hdmi and it works fine. If I'm on win 7 with the hdmi and connect the rog swift, the system recognizes it and I can see it as a second monitor but the system will not allow me to extend, duplicate or change displays (never seen that before). I've tried using the latest two nvidia drivers and flashing the BIOS.

Have you guys experienced something like that ? I'm very confused as I don't know if it's the monitor, the displayport on the gpu (all of them) or the display port cable which might not be working...
Thanks for your input!

Very strange. When the computer powers on and you get no signal, have you tried unplugging the lead from the monitor and plug it back in again? It might recognise it after that and you can then set the display as primary.

Had a similar experience with my GTX 780 over DP, in the end had to remove it, uninstall the drivers, plug in the monitor with iGPU, then refit the card and install the drivers.

After that it worked.

Thanks, for the suggestion. I tried it but no luck.

I tried it something similar except that I kept the drivers. I'll try it tonight. Thanks!

Hi all,

Finally my problem was solved. Took my monitor back to the store here in Manchester they tested it and the monitor was faulty. Lucky me, they gave me a new one and as soon as I plugged it in it worked. Thanks all for your comments.

cheers
