GTX 980 OC Question

Hi guys, I recently got my GTX 980 back from the EVGA step up.

Been testing it to see what it can do. Every OC I think is stable ends up going to a grey screen while playing RIFT.

Is this just an issue with RIFT? Normally I test my overclocks with Heaven, Valley, 3Dmark and BF4.

I gamed for hours in BF4 at 1516mhz on the core. Yet will get a random grey screen in RIFT. Even down to 1425mhz I still get a random grey screen.
I would normally just say its not a stable OC, but since everything so far has been limited to RIFT it makes me wonder.

Any thoughts?

Honestly sounds like a driver issue to me. Which ones are you using?

I was using 344.75 and now the latest beta driver 347.09.

Put the card to stock and play Rift. If it doesn't crash then your OC just isn't unconditionally stable.

Yeah I'll give it a try.

What makes it hard is it being so random. One night it might not crash and another it might after 5 min.

Will see how it goes.
