just quick question what the difference between the reference 980ti brands, is it just that one is more known, are more famous than other brands so that's why the prices reflect them or is their more physically difference between them and are the warranty the same.

i have got £540 saved up but not sure whether to go with ref or non ref if i go with ref which brand do i choose or does it not matter just choose one with uk long warranty but which one hence the question if there is difference between the brands.

should i save up a bit more and buy non ref which should a lot cooler and quieter and give me higher over clocks than average ref gpu (depends on silicon lottery) i know. i have loads air flow going to through case its cooler master cosmos 2

just want a gpu that going to last few few years currently gaming on 1920 by 1280, 144mz going to play games in 3d vision 2 titles include The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, Alien Isolation, Tomb Raider and few more 3d games.

The queitest cards under £540 right now looks to be the Inno3d X3 Ultra and Palit Super Jetstream. That's from looking at multiple figures in several reviews and video evidence (For the Palit a load test with the same cooler on a 980). The X3 Ultra is huge though so need plenty of space and the Palit SJ is 2.5 slots.

Is the Palit a good purchase? Performance looks decent and in my case, it being white/black matches my build theme in particular. I am waiting for the KFA HOF but having seen the Palit I am wondering if its worth waiting for the KFA. It is 6+8 PIN, does that make any actual difference against 8+8 PIN cards?

The Palit looks good if you want quietness on a budget. The HOF is a big step away from the Palit in terms of custom pcb and price. Why not drop down to a MSI 6G?

The 8+6 pin on the Palit means it should have the same tdp limit at reference. That means if you must have the highest OC it's possible you could be limited quicker. The ceiling should be 275W, while the MSI Gaming with dual 8pins and a 109% power limit should max out at 300W.

looks silver to me! ><

Well it is a lot of money to spend on just one card so I was the same been humming and haring for awhile on whether I really needed an upgrade or not for most games my 7970s are fine but judging from the reviews it looks like a good card should be faster and a lot quieter :D
