I'm selling my 7800 GTX and tempted by the GTX, but not too sure on the price increase over the GTS.

Worth it or not?

Whats the rest of your computer setup? What monitor size do you have and what resolutions do you run games at?

You see the higher your resolution the more a GTX is better for you in comparison to the GTS.

Also, I'm guessing you are talking about changing to an 8800GTX/GTS right?

Also need to ensure that the system isn't CPU / memory bottlenecked - not much point in going from GTS to GTX if it will be, unless you're also upgrading that in the near future.

I have a decent system but am stuck at 1280x1024 with my TFT.

I also made the jump from a 256mb 7800GTX to a 8800GTS. It was a lovely boost in speed and obviously aa/af is at max on every game which is nice!

If I did it again, would I do the same?

Err... probably would do the GTX next time... just coz it's nice to "Know" you are the best ;) I have Massive online BALLS ;)

If you get an EVGA GTS, you can swap it within 90 days for a GTX for the difference in price. The price will certainly come down a bit within that period. Could work out quite well if you time it right.

:)
