I know for ATI cards you can crossfire cards of similar series but my question refers to Nvidia cards.

I know with Nvidia cards you can only SLI the same card, but my question is if I buy an ASUS 690 can i SLI this with a EVGA 690, or does it have to be the exact same model card.

Hope this question makes sense lol.

Sorry to hijack but ...

Since a 690 is two 680s on one card, can you SLI a 680 and a 690?

Yeh is an interesting question

The question has been asked a few times but I don't think you can do it.

The GTX 680 and 690 work differently internally even though they both use the GK104 chip and can run at the same clocks.

Even if it could be done 3 single GTX 680s would run better.
