GTX260 Be Quiet

Just a quick check as I have read a few things about the 260 needing quite a bit of power:

Will the Be Quiet 650w Dark Power Pro be enough to run it?

Wont be much in the system; q9450 slightly overclocked, 1 or maybe 2 HDD, 1 dvd, maybe a sound card but thats about it.

Or would a 750w corsair be a safer bet...

I run my GTX 260 with a 650w psu and it works fine. My spec is similar to yours (see my sig).

Thanks for the reply. That Be Quiet seems to be pretty decent too, although it is a little on the expensive side. Ah well, should last the life of the system.

was going to get a Coolermaster m700 but was put off by issues of whining and cold boot issues. The Be Quiet is only 15 quid more.

Mmm, I got my PSU as in sig. for just a few quid more. Rock solid and totally silent.

Corsair 520w would even power the 260, so the Be Quiet would be fine.

At first i was gona suggest a 3rd party cooler if you wanted your 260 to be quiet.

You may as well get the best psu you can afford - then you may not need to upgrade it next time you change some hardware.

The 550w has 4 x 20A rails so should power your 260 easy.

I have an 850w Be Quiet and they are fantastic PSU's. Mine powers my rig easy.

I have a Corsair HX520W and it hasn't exploded through running my GTX280 yet.
