It's been a long time since I O/C GFX cards, but BF3 is forcing my hand! Oddly, it ran fine last night but not today, on the same map!

I'm at 675/1400/1250 core/shader/mem currently. I did some googling but none of the results were that useful.

Where should I be aiming for? This is a standard air cooled card.

Rest of the system,
W7 64
2500K @ 4.6
16GB
SSD for OS
2TB HD for games
crappy small HD for 'stuff'
4GB RAMDisk for temp etc...

Dammit, I wasn't even going to get the game!

You'll see a slight boost in frames per second by upping the core an extra 50MHz or so but overclocking it is not going to miraculously transform a game from unplayable to playable! However It sounds a bit odd that BF3 seemed to play fine one night then not the next? Maybe it's more of a server lag issue?

If you wanted a bit more horsepower you could always add another cheap 260 to your system providing you have a PSU that's capable and a mainboard that supports SLi.

What resolution are you gaming at?

Previous night I was getting 30 to 60 FPS, last night it was around 20 :(

I don't have an SLI capable mobo, I figured I'd not yet succumbed to SLI heaven and probably never would :) PSU is 850W, plently of headroom :)

Game res is 1920 x 1080

I'll have a go at upping the core speed.
