Just noticed my GTX260 is going all the way down to 300Mhz core, 100Mhz memory when I'm just browsing/idle.

I'm guessing this works the same way as speedstep, instant speed increase when it's needed.

Is there any benefit in disabling it or will I see no difference?

Craig.

You wont see any difference i'd imagine.Just more power consumption when the 3d clocks aren't needed...

Absolutely no point unless you're running a 3D app. It'll know when you load one up and crank up the power automatically :)
