Hi, last week I bought from OcUK an i7 setup which included an Asus GTX275 and an OCZ ModXstream Pro 600w PSU. The output on the +3.3v and +5v is 25amps, +12v is 18amps. I am also running 3 hard drives.

After installing Vista x64, I had the build running at stock speeds and tried to stress test it using a 30min medium data OCCT test. On every occasion after about 10mins I would get a black screen and have to reboot. I also tried running NFS Undercover and this also crashed after a few minutes. I put a note on the forums and somebody suggested it was either a GFX or a PSU problem. So, I swapped the GTX275 for my old 8800GTS and the system worked perfectly in both a medium and high data OCCT test and ran NFS Undercover great. Question is, is it the PSU not putting enough power into the GFX or is the GTX275 faulty? I had thought that a 600w PSU would be sufficient but maybe there's not enough ampage. Can you please advise what you think?

ive just cheked ur gfx card requires 40A the PSU outputs 50A

it should be fine but you could try a different PSU:D

something more proven and tested corsair TX650W

i do feel the non modular version of this PSU is better but never mind:D

anyways you should try those tests again but wif only one hard drive plugged in no extra one or dvd drives:D

Looking at the OCZ website it has 2 x +12v @ 25A (Combined 504w (42A) so it should be ok.

If yours says 18A, maybe it's an old model or the 500w?

Maybe try using different connectors to power other devices, you could be hitting a line limit somewhere.
