I mean imagine if he was your uncle or similar, bet you would be visiting him a lot to see what kit he was playing with! :)

Aye once bitten twice shy WJA96, I think some people may be a bit gun ho with overclocking and flashing/moddin stuff these days, it's not until you break something that you begin to become more cautious. . .

Maybe because he was trying to turn sparklies into something exciting?! Also, is the card really dead? When it cooled down, I'd wager it would be fine again.

If he had been my uncle when I was a kid, I doubt my parents would have let me within 2 miles of him! I shudder to think what he'd have been playing with.... :)
 
Everyone is free to say what they like but I feel it reflects badly on this forum, I was pretty appalled at all the hate Jacob Billing received from his videos and I thought it was epic! really made me chuckle! :D

Well, on a more serious note, the whole review was cringeworthy wasn't it?!

Yeah, new hardware is nice, but just how many of these videos of people unpacking stuff are there now?

I just wonder what they get out of it, apart from maybe free stuff?

This vid was just a big 'buy sli, it rocks for crysis guys' advert wasn't it?

It wasn't even all that entertaining. At least the Billing vids were funny, although I appreciate they weren't meant to be!!

What we need is a sort of 'Top Gear', but for computer hardware!
 
I do find videos where the reviewer feels the need to unpack everything very slowly, and describe the contents in excruciating detail rather annoying, but I usually skip that part.
 
Crysis is actually a poo poo game anyway, getting sick of these "ohohoho look at me, I have enough money to waste on triple sli" vids of people who seem to think benchmarking IS a game itself.

Special olympics + annoying accent.

It is a game :cool: (or at least a pastime of some sort).

It's there money so let them spend it how they wish, of course if they start telling you your system is rubbish or similar then let them have it.
