GTX280 drivers question

Hi all

i have a GTX280 on its way to me.

what i would like to know is will i be best to run driver cleaner and install the drivers supplied with the card.

im currrently running 64bit vista home premium.

thanks for any advise.

p.s please dont use this thread to tell me, omg u got ripped off etc etc there are other thread u can do that in.

I would download the latest of nvidia first and use them. They should supply the latest, but you never know when they copied the disks.
 
I would use driver sweeper from guru3d my friend

Dunno if i can link so google ;)

Also, slightly OT but i am running vista x64 with an 8 series card with gtx driver with modded .inf, Works fine installing over earlier driver but think you best to do as you ask and use a cleaner

ok, so run driver sweeper.

uninstall card

install new card

boot, download niv drivers (unless i download tonight)

install driver. re configure anything it changes with drivers.

sounds straight forward lets see if it turns out to be :)

Id Add/Remove the Nvidia drivers, then switch off, swap cards, boot up normally, cancel the Found New Hardware Wizards that pop up, run Driver Sweeper to clean out the left-overs, then install new drivers.
