GTX280 help!

I just received my XFX GTX 280 today and there is 2 power connectors on the top.

1 is a 6-pin and the other is a 8-pin, do i need both connected or will the 6-pin be ok?

You need both connected or the card won't work.

Ok, so where do i buy a 8-pin from? because i cant find one on OCUK.

You will need a power supply with a PCI-E 8-pin cable, or a molex converter cable.

didnt it come with power adaptor cables? my bfg 1 did

That's a molex to 8 pin PCIe so yes...

just looked in the box to my gtx280 i got 2 power cabels. 1. x2 molex conns to a 6 pin pcie 2. x2 6pin pcie to x1 8pin pcie.

Antec Neo HE500 500w, seems that i need a new PSU, i've just unplugged my dvd drive from the psu and tried to turn the system on, it wont even turn the fans but it'll give me the green light on the motherboard.

It came with 1x 6-pin adapter, but my local electronics shop had a converter.
