GTX280 memory overclocking

Got my core and shader at 684/1458. After extensive testing that seems the highest I can go without artifacts.

The memory is another matter. Crysis will eventually crash at anything above 1134 (so almost default TBH), always when saving or loading. My question is, what difference exactly does mem O/Cing make? Presumably it makes much less difference to FPS than either core or shader clocks?

The GTX 280 has massive memory bandwidth anyway, I would not worry. Clocking it won't help real world performance much at all...
