Well, I have been thinking of replacing my GFX card recently. I run at 1900 x 1200 and like bells and whistles.

Was thinking 580gtx with possibly of SLI.

Would my Tagan 1100 be ok for SLI ? Would i notice any difference ? I mainly play WoW and the Crysis + of FPS's.

How long before nvidia replace 580 gtx was thinking of holding on a bit.

Later this year they'll be the next-gen NVIDIA GPUs from what I hear.

Your Tagan 1100 will handle GTX 580 SLI but you're gonna have to do something about connectors. IIRC you'll need 1x 8pin and 1x 6pin per 580 so that's 2x 8 pin, 2x 6pin for SLI. Not sure if that PSU has those connectors by default.

If all you do is play Crysis and WoW on 295 and you're probably better of saving that till next gen. Then again even a single GTX 580 will be faster than a 295.

I think the SLI scaling might be better on WoW perhaps because i dont get great frame rates with everything turned on flying around.

Dont forget that WoW is very CPU limited. Oh and WoW also actually performs BETTER on DX11

It's been a while since I tried it. but on a 3.7GHz i3 and OC'd GTX 460 I saw 40-50 FPs in crowded stormwind and all the way upto 400 FPS indoors on ultra settings @1080p
