GTX295 - Single PCB release date?

I heard a little while back that the above card was going to be made into a single PCB edition, while hopefully having some speed tweeks?

Is this actually going to be happening in the next week or so, or was I being misinformed at the time? Because if this is going to happen shortly, it would be worth my while to not make a new machine build until these become the normal card on the market to OcUK, seeing as they will be the ones building my machine in the 1st place.

Is it anything to get excited about? If you was planning to buy a GTX295, is it worth waiting for this to be released before you go out to buy?

That's a tough one. If _I_ was wanting one I'd wait because my case is cramped and cooling is not so great as a result, so the reduced operating temps would be very welcome. What with summer almost here as well.

Wouldn't blame you for being impatient, though. After all a month is a long time when you have the itch.

The thing is that I am very tempted to go for the machine on offer, and especially when they are saying you can call the sales team to make it more of what you want, which is something I would do.

I cant imagine having this sort of spec on offer in a months time when I was planning on a new machine. Im tempted to call them, ask them what id want added, and then see what the total comes to, as it would be less than a custom spec machine that I would be going for, but the special offer is almost too hard to miss, knowing my luck if I let this one go at the end of May there wont be any good offers like this, tell me if im wrong

They said it would be same clocks, probably more head room for OC etc but I think they main reason behind it's release is to make 295s cheaper to produce and quicker.

I think I have come to the conclusion that this wont be a card worth waiting for now, maybe a little room for the overclocking aspect, but I cant imagine the selling price will drop very much at all, maybe by another £30 or so, but the end user wont see much of a difference
