GTX295 sli ???

Hi
Im wondering what sort of difference would it make by fitting another GTX295 into my system using SLI ?? is it worth the extra expense ?

Would a 750watt power supply be good enough or would i need an upgrade ?

Guess the power drain would be high using 2 of these cards ..

A gtx295 is already over kill so why would you need another one?
Quad sli isn't that great and games don't really support it.

No, don't do that. Unless you're folding for team 10.

Your power supply is unlikely to cope particularly well, but I doubt it would expire instantly.

You'er considering a second 295, yet you're using hard drives instead of ssds. Strange.

i know what youre saying regarding SSD's ....im waiting till the prices drops

I guess is not worth installing another one then lol ...may aswell spend the money on some ssd's

The GTX 295 is two GPU's together so a 2nd would be over kill and could just lead to diver issues etc.

Also 750w will struggle.

Yes like Dauthi says, the GTX295 has two Chipsets on one board, just like ATi's x2 gpu's do.

Rather than go SLi with a GTX 295, i'd buy a DX11 card and sell the GTX 295, possibly even keep the GTX 295 if the DX11 cards are insanely priced.

It's not really just like the X2's cos they are two chips on one board whereas the 295 is two boards sandwiched together.

Yes single pcb gtx 295 performs exactly the same as the original, it's more an attempt to make it cheaper to manufacture. The card runs a little cooler and quieter, that's it. They're already on sale and I'm sure Oveclockers will have them too in the next few days.

I've got a single pcb version coming tomorrow but sending it back as soon as it comes... impulse buy really since i already went from a 295 to 285.

I had 295 Quad-SLI. The only thing it is good for is 3DMark scores, which is no use at all in the real world.

The scaling when adding a third or fourth is terrible compared to adding a second, don't bother.

since most games dont support quad sli would you get better performance with 2 gtx 285s most of the time? and it would be a bit cheaper.
