GTX295 Upgrade

hi ive been playing crysis 2 @ 1920 x 1080 at extreme settings. it looks good but im only gettin 26-30 fps while playing (using fraps) what will best best to upgrade to? i was looking at gtx590 but have heard there disapointing! when the dx11 patch is released for pc, will the game take up more resources from my gpu. or is that just for tessalation? how many fps is required for smooth game play? as it looks great already! thanks

Playing on a 580 here fully maxed and using this:http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18256917

to improve the game even more and my 580 runs the game superb no slow downs at all.
