Hey guys, trying to help a friend out. He purchased the cataclysm hellscream system at the end of december:

Power Supply: OCZ StealthXStream II 600w
- CPU: Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz overclocked to 3.80GHz
- Motherboard: Gigabyte P55-USB3 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
- Cooler: Xigmatek Dark Knight CPU Cooler
- RAM: Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6GB/s
- Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 460 1024MB GDDR5
- Sound: Realtek 7.1 Channel Sound (On-Board)
- Optical Drive: LG DVD+/-RW SATA Drive

Currently the monitor will turn on, and display correctly, but after about 3 seconds the feed cuts out and the screen goes blank. We've tried this on two different monitors and the same thing happens, the only way to get a feed atm is to repeatedly turn the monitor on and off. updated the drivers, same thing happens...

Any ideas what could be wrong and what could be done? Its pretty difficult to diagnose anything etc because you only have about 3 seconds to work before the screen cuts out. Any help would be grand, thanks guys.

Interesting, I have the same issue occasionally with my 470. Was fine with my Ati card but as soon as i switched to the nvidia card its done this infrequently.

Maybe its a driver issue? Im going to rebuild win 7 from scratch as I am one of the many who have issues with SP1
