Hey all,

Ive got the following spec:
i5 2500K
8gb 1600 ram
1tb hdd
msi p67 c43 B3
GTX 560 Ti
chieftech 550W psu

now i can trade my 560ti with a m8 of mine for a gtx 470. Would this be the faster card? since it has more vram 1280mb .. or is the 560Ti 1gb the better card?
I dotn care about power or heat cuz i knwo they use more the the 5** series and become more heated but its a single card solution so that would be no problem so would this gtx470 give me more speed/ fps? its a ASUS GTX 470.

thnx

I had the same thoughts a while ago, but plumped with a gtx 470 amp 2 edition ove a 560ti, because it was £50 cheaper.

Both cards overclock well, but if it is a straight swap, or a purchase for the same price i'd take the 560ti every time.

Newer tech, better driver support.

Theres not a lot in it really, but I would keep the 560

edit- just saw your PSU, definatly keep the 560ti

i would need a more powerfull psu?
But not caring about the newer tech etc...just want to know wich is faster?
If i get more Fps with a 470 then i would like that. Not bothering about power use or heat

I'd stick t oa 560Ti. It's slightly faster and overclocks better. Better power efficiency, heat, etc. Better card overall.
