hi,i got 2xgtx480 a few weeks ago,i started running them at stock 700/1400/1850/ithe default volts were 1.025,now 2weeks ago i overclocked them to 825/1650/1950 and put the voltage up to 1.063,within a week i started getting crashes while playing cod,the screen started breaking up and going mad colours and stuff then it would reboot,so i put everthing back to stock settings and tried again, same problem crashed within 2minutes in cod,the strange thing is i noticed was in msi afterburner, all the clocks were back at stock except for the voltage,it was still at 1.063,everytime i try to reset msi the clocks will reset but voltage will stay 1.063 instead of going down to stock 1.025,i have to do it manually or it will stay there, ive tried renstalling msi 3 times but the voltage will still reset to 1.063,anybody know why these cards are overvolting themselves because its giving me quite high temps,i hope i dont have to rma them

I think rather than trying to lower the voltage, may be you should try lowering your overclock a bit?

I have yet to use overvolt in MSI Afterburner, but could it be possible that the voltage was saved on the profile, and uninstalling and reinstalling won't remove remove the profile as it might still be in the folder? Have to tried overwriting the profile in MSI Afterburner, or deleting the folder after uninstall?

i did lower the oc.i put everything back to stock ,then uninstalled msi, then downloaded a early version of msi and for some reason the default voltage is at 1.063 instead of 1.025,thats why its so strange, they must be overvolting for some reason/and thats probaly why im getting crashes/freezes,its probaly shutting itself down because its overvolting

even if you uninstall afterburner, it keeps the ini files with config.
You need to deleate these!
Wninstall drivers too wont hurt.
