hi ive been getting random shutdown recently with 116 blue screen,my pc with i7 930 4.2ghz has ran at the same bio settings for nearly 2 years.ive jst checked my temps with afterburner,my gpu overclocks were 830/1662/1848 voltage1050 and full fan but temps were getting over a 100c.ive reset to stock clocks 700/1401/1848 with stock voltage 1.025 ,fan speed stock 54 and temps are 74c/bottom card 84c/top card,i know fermi is hot but temps shouldnt be that high right?

Are you using the stock cooler? The stock one wasn't great to say the least and if you can find one I would recommend you to get a third party one like the Zalman ZF-3000 (I use one) and it will certainly help with the temps.

PCI-E Slot spacing may not allow him to use two of them.

If you plan on going down the third party cooler route, measure everything out first. The card and cooler usually take up 3 slots instead of the usual 2.
 
I've only got one and yeah it takes up 3 PCI slots. Another thing to note the Zalman cooler is only as good as the cooling in your case. If your pc doesn't exhaust the heat it'll be worse than the standard cooler.
