Hi all, Just got a GTX 550ti because it fitted my budget nicely and is pretty much playing all the games i want to play. Although it's running perfectly fine, I can't change the resoultion to 1080x1920 on my games, I have all the correct drivers installed, but this has occured scince I uninstalled ATI catalyst, I thought i wouldn't need these due to having NVIDIA installed with my new card.
Little help ?

Rather odd.

Did you do a clean install of the drivers? Completely uninstalling the AMD drivers and then installing the Nvidia ones? That's all I can think of at the moment.
 
I actually installed NVIDIA drivers first and it seemed to be fine even with the AMD installed. But each time I booted my PC, ATI kept saying it wasn't using the drivers due to my new card, So i decided to just deleted them to stop this message on boot up. It's wierd how i can have 1080x1920 resso on Windows but not my games :L
 
I would uninstall the AMD drivers completely and then clean install the Nvidia drivers.

If that fails try a fresh installation of windows. Do you have another PC available, like a mates PC to test the card in?
 
Any chance of a screenshot of the video settings section in the games you're having probs with?

Id definitely uninstall all drivers, using the methods from AMD/NVIDIA, restart and install latest versions.
 
Yeah, I've just done a fresh install of the new NVIDIA drivers, still won't let me play games at the same ress as my windows resolution. Any chance the games are trying to run of intergrated? It seems scince i removed my intergrated drivers, they can't do 1080x1920.

Can't you scroll down that list? It should be just below due to resolutions being WidthXHeight

Therefore you're looking for 1920X1080.
 
Ah. Then possibly a clean install of windows is required. Unless you can try the card in another PC first :)
 
Oucch, Surely it couldn't be windows, considering it's at a 1080x1920 ress? Might be able to try it in another PC, Can't see it being the card though :(
Yeah a few games like Rift have the exact same options, Although B3 lets me run at 1080x1920 ress.
 
The games that it won't work on, perhaps deleting the config files and forcing the games to re-create will help?

It's like some of the games aren't correctly pulling the available resolutions.
 
Doubt it will help dude, as it's likely the graphics card that's the issue.

Actually wait a second... Do you still have the integrated drivers installed? If so uninstall them, there could be a conflict.
