Hello,
I had to return my GTX660 due to being DOA and until that is sorted and I have my new one here, my friend has kindly lent me one of his 560Ti's (he has two) until I can get my new card so I can play games again.
I am however having an issue. Before I install the 560 I've done a complete driver sweep on my system, there is no graphics registry keys, links, .dlls, files or anything on my system so it doesn't even know Nvidia exists. I put in the 560Ti and I connect my monitor to it's DVI port.
(Monitor -> HDMI Cable -> HDMI to DVI adapter -> 560).
The above connection is what I have to use on the 560 as it only has DVI ports and one mini-HDMI port which I don't have an adapter for. Without the drivers installed I get visual output at a low resolution because there aren't any drivers, but the card works nonetheless, however when I still the drivers from the Nvidia website and reboot, I get no signal. My system POSTS's and the windows orbs load, but after the "starting windows" screen has gone, it's just black and my monitor LED starts flashing saying there's no signal.
I'm a little stuck here on this, Could anybody help shed some light?
Thanks.
