All this chat about the GTX580 which i will never be able to afford!

Anyway, my question is when can we expect to see the lower range cards that a peasant like me will be able to afford? Next month or next year?

Not seen or heard anything from NVIDIA about these but it would seem very unlikely considering how popular the GTX 460 is and the 470 for that.

I'd think such cards would probably come Feb-March next year. :)

Massive gap in pricing though

GTX470 £175
GTX480 £325
GTX580 £399

You would think a GTX560 and GTX570 would slot in nicely between the £175 and £325.

It leaves that price range to ATI on it's own to clean up.

However, based on the GTX580, a GTX570 should be 10 to 15% faster than a GTX470 which would mean it matched the GTX480 for speed and they wouldn't be able to sell any more GTX480's so I reckon Gibbo might be right and it will be spring next year and GTX470 and GTX480 will go end of line when they do.

Was wondering the same about the the 560 & 570. Makes sense for them to hold of their release until Q2 2011. Really fancy something a bit more powerful than my GTX260 (although finding it hard to justify at the moment as I only really play Flight Simulator X). The 470's sound good, but with NVIDIA seemingly improving with heat and power consumption with the 460 hoping this trend will continue into the 560/570 cards.
