Hi, i want to upgrade my gtx570 as not cutting it with bf4 on medium setting fps around60/50 things go crazy drops below around 40/30

I have 2500k stock
8gb cosair vengeance
asus p8z68 deluxe
6 sata hdd
cosair tx650, psu 6 year old used from previous build

gaming res play 1680*1050 22inch monitor wanted to get Gtx780? would that be overkill for that res? should i get gtx770? would psu handle it?

Thanks in advance

Hi Sho,

No such thing as overkill :p a 780 will own at that resolution and if you want to get a bigger screen, you have the GPU grunt to cope.

3 free games to boot and that Gigabyte OC is a stonking price :)

I echo what Gregster says for if you ever want to get a higher res monitor. But if you are sticking at this resolution then a GTX770 would be more than enough.

If you don't want to spend to much then 280X or 770 i reckon.

What budget?

Also, i would get that i5 overclocked if you want to get the best out of BF4 with a new card.

If budget is £400 then i personally would go for a non reference 780. Wait for a daily deal as those have been £380 not too long ago.

I have cosair h80 first gen, havent tried to overclock to scared :( i'm wuss

You should be able to get at least 4.2ghz out of it at reasonable temps/voltages, probably higher though.

A H80 would be good enough.

Just scared that my psu won't able to handle it Overclocking cpu and gtx 780, going today pick it up, gtx 780 beast

Not sure of the TX specs but my 6 year old 620w HX Corsair unit powered my 2500k at 4.3ghz and an overclocked and overvolted GTX 480 with no issues and the 480 is one power hungry mother!
