GTX570 waterblock,

If I buy a refrence GTX570 this one will I beable to fit a normal gtx580 block on it? For example this one?

Pretty sure the reference 570 and 580 pcb's are the same, the 570 just has some components missing.
Edit: Look here, that block u linked to is listed as compatible for the evga 570 which is a reference 570 same as the one u are looking at.
Edit2: that link i posted didn't work properly buy if u pick any reference 570 using that configurator it shows the 580 blocks.

Hmm...I've had a look and it seems some blocks are sold as "for gtx570 and gtx580" where as others just say "for gtx580" but surley the 580 ones would still work?

Like i said i think the only difference is less ram modules and power phases so the pcb is the same, i know the evga 580 backplates fit the 570's.

You need to be wary of going by the picture.

The OcUK branded cards are generally just cards from the lesser known manufaturers. Basically whatever they can get at a good price.

The description does say "Innovative thermal design: Vapour Chamber (Quieter than previous generation)" which you would think would get you a refrence design but OcUK's descriptions have been wrong before.

Just recently they had to amend the description of the majority of ATI 68xx and 69xx series cards because they were wrong.

As you obviously want a reference design card for water cooling I suggest you contact OcUK and find out which card they are currently sending out.

Right thanks for the replies, would I be better of getting the EVGA card then? Because from the picture this card is reference? Also would there be any benefit from the ocuk card over the EVGA one?

The Evga card has 10 years warranty, just had a look and they only stock the classified and the 2.5Gb HD, the classified is a factory overclocked reference card and it's on a this week only offer atm but still a bit more than the ocuk one.

Every card is different but u should be able to overclock it more unless u are very unlucky.

like krony says every card is different watercooling does not mean u will get stella overclocks some cards just wont clock its a lucky dip when it comes to good overclockers
some peoples cards i have seen wont go over 810 core even with wc.

my fisrt 2 evga 570 gtx cards they where wc and would only clock to 925 on core 2200 on mem and that was with the unlock evga bios which tops out at 1.23 v.

now my other 2 gtx 570 evga sc editions they will clock to 1ghz on the core in sli with the same unlocked evga bios.

buy the cheapest 570 gtx u can get dont go for the oc versions if u going to water cool u just paying through nose for very little in the way of an overclock.

oh and for any smart heads wondering why i brought new cards my base unit and my self went down the stairs and i had to have the whole lot replaced.
