What would be the better route? I was looking at 2x 570's but is the 1x 590 a better route to go? i might just be going down the route of triple monitors, or just 1 large one, also planning to upgrade the rest of the pc soon, looking at i7 2600k/16gb memory will the cpu and memory work well with the 590? Also for a short time the 590 will be running with a Phenom II X4 Quad Core 965 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.40GHz (Socket AM3) and 8gb of memory, will i have problems?

Thx's in advance.

apparently the 590s are notoriously bad for just failing! dont do it is the advice. even if they werent i went with 2x 6950s rather than 1 6990, [same principle]

think of the positives..
using 2x 16x slots rather than 1x 16x for 2 cards,
potentially more space for cooling being on separate pcbs,
if one fails you can still use your computer as you still have one card.. i think that is the most important,
more head room for overclocking [in regards to temps] as you have better cooling with 2 cards.

only benefit i can see is if you dont have enough leads from your PSU or slots on your motherboard

my resolution is 2560x1440 from one monitor
