Hi,

Looking at some laptops with this specific GPU, these laptops are so claimed "gaming" laptops and having i7 3630QM etc etc.

These are costing like £1200 but that GPU seems underwhelming for the price, considering overclockers do i5 + 7970M builds for nearly the same price and face it, even desktop i3's coupled with a decent GPU stream roll through games.

Just what is the deal with the GTX660M, what desktop GPU is it on par with? From what I read it is a 8800 Ultra....surely that can't be right.

If you are getting a 15" laptop, I would get a 650M with a 1366*768 screen. It will run much better than a 660M on a 1920*1080 screen(someone on OCUK said that the 660M is 10-40% faster than 650 but 1080p has 100% more pixels than a 1366*768 screen). It will be much cheaper.

I agree with that logic so that's what I went for anyway...
