Maybe:

GTX680MMMMM.jpg

Initial reports suggest that Nvidia were all set to use the GK106 core in their new GTX680M card. Scores were said to be in the range of 4600 -> 4900 in 3dmark 11(overclocked).

One problem with that, the new 7970M is scoring 6000 points in 3dmark 11 stock and nearly 7000 overclocked.

So now it looks like Nvidia will have to look to the GK104 for their new top end chip, guesses are now it will either be a 660ti or 670 core.

Im sure that 660 ti is meant to be a GK 104 with 2 shader blocks disabled, 192 bit memory interface, 1.5 Gb Vram, priced at £220-250.

Maybe this is why? Notebook cores are always more profitable than desktop ones and Nvidia need a strong showing or their partners will switch to AMD.
