Is it likely for GTX670 2GB Windforce x3 prices to drop much any time soon with the new cards out? Sort of tempted to get a second in the upcoming months, but I don't need it enough to shell out their current cost.

Cheers,

Ah well, I don't really need it at 1080p, but one always wants :D

I have an itch to get back into skyrim, but I have to have it ridiculously modded and even the GTX670 OC'd was struggling to stay about constant 30FPS in some scenes with all the mods I had.

That's where I am, my 7850 struggled at 30 ish FPS @ 1080p, I had mods out the ying yang running, I also found my stock CPU cooler could not cope either, I think the post processing etc was smashing it, all 4 cores @ 100% at times - I had ENB, endless texture mods, game play mods - it looked awesome but my card/CPU could not cope.

Need a good quality and not too expensive CPU cooler, and I'm gonna get a 7950 and get back into it.

I never thought about the CPU, but I have mine at 4.2Ghz and it never goes above 60 with a corsair water cooler. I haven't played skyrim in ages, and have never touched the DLC so I might give it a go with new mods. There'll no doubt be some amazing life-like ENB profiles out there now.

Yeah, I could play for 10 minutes and the PC would shut down, I have Core Temp set to shut down @ 80 degrees, otherwise I might have blown my chip. So I decided to uninstall, and would only play it when I could play how I wanted.

So many mods out there, exp texture mods, and ENB's you can pretty much get it looking how you want.

It was modded skyrim that *made* me upgrade to SLI 670's. I'm semi obsessed with tweaking that game to death, so much so that I waste hours not really playing it, just messing with my enb settings in-game, realistic lighting mods etc etc etc. Sad.

Also, how do you get such high CPU usage? I rarely get past 30% ! I think it's the poor cpu usage that hurts this game's performance the most, for me anyway (2600k I7 at 4.6ghz by the way)
