GTX670 SLI PSU and other questions

so, there are these 2 rigs and only one is really needed, I'm debating what to do with absolutely minimum spend, ideally 0.

rig one: P5QE, QX9650, 8GB, Asus GTX670 2GB Direct CU II, Corsair TX650 (around 3.5 years old), 750GB HDD, Coolermater 330 Case

rig two: MSI Z77 G55, Xeon 1230v2, 8GB, Asus GTX670 2GB Direct CU II, XFX Core 450W, 2x 500GB HDD, Fractal R4

I also have new 240GB m500 to put in there.

My main idea is to put OS on the SSD, transplant HDDs to the R4 case and sell the rest of the rig one AND possibly SLI those Nvidias.

My main concern would be the PSU and its age. Obviously CPU is not overclockable and I would leave GPUs only on factory overclock.

Would I be ok with that? any better suggestions ?

The 650w unit will be fine. My cpu at 4.5ghz and x2 gtx 670's at +80/+600 pull 586w maximum at the wall when running 3d mark 11. Your system at stock will be a good bit less.

cool. I was just worried about the capacitor aging etc in the PSU and the fact that I already had TX650 die on me in another rig rather than just pure wattage issue.

just need some reassuring - is the SLI worth it with 2GB cards? I only game on 1 1080p.
would it make more sense if I upped to 1440p?

or would I be better off selling one 670 now while the value hasn't dropped too much (I paid around £160 new) and the other one when doing a GPU upgrade in few months?

At 1080p youll be grand, at 1440p lack of vram could be an issue depending on the game you play, particularly with 2gb 670's.
