Hello,

Since last night, I am having an issue with my 680 sli setup :/

I noticed my computer was quite dusty, and had crashed, so I thought I would clean the dust out of my PC.

I then dusted it out with an air duster, cleaned all the cards etc, all fine.

But, since plugging it all back in, it seems to crash when I use sli.....

I will get a system reboot, with a "no display" message, when running with sli.

Once rebooted, it does then not pick up the second card.

I have tried each card individually and they seem fine, I have also tried switching their positions, doing a driver sweep/reinstall, and also changed the sli bridge.

I'm really at a loss, I was able to play for maybe 30-40 minutes with both cards last night, only to have it crash and then reset to single card.

Please help!

Does seem a bit odd if they're both working individually. Are your displays setup as two in the bottom card one in the top?

You shouldn't have to, but have you re installed drivers?

Yeah, I've completely removed, cleaned and then reinstalled the drivers, still the same :/

After a crash, and system restart, the second card will not be detected.

I then need to shut down, disconnect/reconnect the card, and then it will pick back up on reboot.

For anyone that cares I have solved the issue!

It seemed it was the 8 pin power cable connected to my motherboard.

Half of the 8 pin connector (its 2 4pins with a slide connection in the middle) was coming away from the socket, which I think was causing the PC to not get the power required to run sli reliably.

Must have knocked it out when I was dusting the PC.

Now works fine :D
