Does anyone know if a 770 will fit in a SG05 and how juicy are they (will the 450w PSU be ok with it?

currently running a 470 in there but getting an itch to upgrade or could you guys recommend a better card for around the £200 mark.

I had a gtx 680 in my sgo5 with no problems running on the 450w bronze psu.

I'm sure the 770 is a rebranded 680.

Mine was a reference too.

You can even get a 780ti or Titan in a SG05 with slight modding running the 450w psu.

Only 770 I know that will fit is the msi 770 twin frozr. Most other 770s will fit but requires modding the case. I have modded the case and have a msi 280x twin frozr in a sg06 with an S model i5 as it is slightly too long for the sg05. Temps are fine with the gpu going up to 74c and cpu 60c.

As for power you should, even be ok to do some intel cpu overclocking.

Unfortunately, most 280/X cannot fit in sg05 without modding so best option would be 770 or 760.

If you're prepared to chop a hole in the metal frame to fit the extra length of the card then go for it - the plastic facia will cover the hole. The 450W PSU will be fine.

I have the older SG05 with the 300W PSU so after upgrading to Silverstone's modular 450W SFX Gold PSU I'm running my Titan happily with a fair overclock.

So does the msi 770 fit without the case modifications, I don't mind modding it if I have to but if that card will fit, I'd rather be lazy and just slot it in :D
