Hi all,

Maybe a blonde moment, I have a new rig with a GTX770, my psu however is pretty basic but kicks out 600W, on the GTX770 there are 2 power connectors a 6 pin and an 8 pin, do these both need a power supply? if they do my PSU only has a 6 pin connector, will a 4 pin molex to 8 pin converter solve my issue?

I also have an i7, but my CPU power cable is only 4 pin, it it worth getting a cable to convert it in to the 8pin available on the motherboard?

Cheers

Rob

As long as your single rail can handle it then use the PSU connections that came with the GTX 770 to fit it, if you are unsure use two rails to power it.

Make and model of PSU would be handy to know.

OCZ Database will give you info on the output of the rails if the PSU is listed.

Its an Atrix from PC World, it was an emerency replacement at the time. Im a long way behind with computer technology, what are single and dule rails?

Cheers

A quick Google tells me you might want to replace that sooner rather than later.

A 550Watt or 650Watt from this line would be a good place to start SuperFlower

Or from any of the following:

Corsair

Seasonic

Akasa I run the 650Watt from this line with my GTX 770.
