Hi All, got a niggle with my graphics card - it's a Zotac GTX970 that's serve me faultlessly since I bought it around a year ago (I think)
In the past few days one of the 2 fans on it has started regularly spinning up to max and sitting there for extended periods of time for no reason despite being idle whilst just browsing the web. Temperatures don't look to be an issue at all, Open Hardware Monitor is showing it's sitting at around 30-35 degrees and nothing feels warm to the touch.

Anything that could be causing this bar the fan controller on the card itself being on the blink?

Thanks!

What happens if you set a custom fan profile with say msi afterburner? If all fails do you still have warranty on it?

Excellent name BTW :D

Just poked around in Afterburner, seems to make no difference to anything at all. I guess I should try reseating it, cleaning dust out, driver reinstall and the other usual things before looking at warranty, but I should have that as a backup if it comes to it - pretty sure it had a 2 or 3 year warranty. Will feel kinda odd returning something that isn't completely broken, normally I've done warranty claims for things that are completely bricked :D

Cheers re: the name!
