GTX970 possible purchase.

Its not a bad card but for that money there are better quality cards with backplates, so a lot more aesthetically pleasing. Asus Strix, Gigabyte G1, Galax Infinity are in my opinion the cards I would buy at around the £300 mark.

If the EVGA had a backplate, I'd then maybe consider it but for me the plastic shroud and lack of backplate just make it seem overpriced.
 
Another vote for gigabyte, great support and a very good cooler on the card. As for DSR, it's a neat little feature which ive enjoyed using and never had any problems with it. Though it does tempt you into buying a higher res monitor.
