Guys / Gals i need some help.
I currently have 2 GTX980ti's my monitor is a Acer XB270HU.
I play a lot of BF4 and was getting into BF1. Until last week when they released the patch that has broken SLI. To get around the issue and be able to play i have to disable SLI, no issue but that means every time i play having to turn it off and on to play other games.
So my question is, is there a single card that would give me near the oomph that my 2 980tis do. I want to get away from SLI.
Im up for any suggestions though NO AMD. I was holding out for the Mystical 1080ti, but now is more important.

I went through the same pain with BF4 when there were SLI problems along with all the other issues it had.

From the top of my head I'm pretty sure a GTX 1080 would meet your requirements, however I don't think it'll be too long to wait for the ti version if the rumours are to be believed.

Just use Nvidia Inspector to disable SLI for Battlefield 1.

You can set SLI mode for each individual game using that.

Just start it up, select BF1 from the drop down menu, set SLI to 'one' as I've highlighted and click 'Apply Changes'

That will set BF1 to only use a single card, regardless of what is selected in NV Control panel.

A Titan x pascal won't be matching 980ti SLI when SLI is working.

I went from 980Ti SLI @1450/7900 to a single Titan X Pascal. TXP doesn't win in all games, and not necessarily in BF1, but in many cases it's just as fast. The Witcher 3, for example, never ran close to 60 FPS with Hairworks on at 4K on 980Ti SLI (even with modded SLI bits) and suffered from some pretty bad stuttering.

Something like Overwatch, with 100% scaling? 980Tis win, but games that work that well with SLI are few and far between.

Does BF1 support DX12, which doesn't need SLI enabled but uses a multi GPU system. Well it should do anyway, it doesn't do very well in Rise of the Tomb Raider !
Andi.

Hence why I said when SLI is working

There is currently no card out in the market that performs as well as your 980Ti SLI. The closest single card would be Titan XP and even then it still wont match it.

Just run one 980Ti for BF1, im sure you'll still be able to pump out decent enough frames for your monitor with just one.

Thanks for all the advice. Ill give the Nvidia Inspector route a ago as i had not though about that, till the Tis come along anyway.
A Titan XP was an idea as i know someone that has one but ill leave it.
Again thanks

Might be worth hanging on to see if the 1080ti is worth a go. I don't think it'll be quite the bargain the 980ti turned out to be though

You don't even need nvidia inspector. Just use nvidia control panel, choose the game profile and set it to run single card only.
SLI takes a bit of effort sometimes, to find tweaks and whatnot, but if you can't be bothered doing something so simple as changing a game profile setting then a single card solution is probably best for you. Not that any single card matches SLI 980ti's

Yeah but nvidia is having a pain in the butt with that support. Personally , i don't see it will come to the light soon. Remember, not only game developers have to support this feature but the gpu vendors too.
