Thinking of buying a new monitor to replace the one I'm on at the moment, the only problem is, I want the new one for me to game on but have the second as a temps monitor. So I can keep an eye on it (my 460 fan went way up when playing War Inc. Battlezone)

So is this possible?
Specs in sig.

Nah I like it on auto, I just don't know how far to push it. Cause I'm only running a 460. And when using Ultra settings that are meant for a 560. It sort of gets a bit of a heat box.

Plus I play in full screen :(

To answer your question, yes it is possible and ridiculously easy.
Just connect the new monitor, set it as primary, and run in extended mode. Games will launch on the primary monitor, anything you have open on the second monitor will be visible while you game.

Edit: note also, if you use afterburner, you can have it report temps as an overlay within the game's window (by default, it appears at the top left corner). So you don't need a second monitor for that - but dual monitors is useful for all kinds of reasons, so no harm in keeping the second monitor.

I have duel screen 24" I usually save the second monitor to keep an eye on my facebook and monitor temps especially when I'm overclocking or playing with my fan settings etc I keep thinking about going 3way but the gf isn't keen.
