Guess what... ANOTHER upgrade thread! xD

Lol damnit!

I had the same problem last time when I wanted the ThermalTake Soprano case - it was so sexy but it was made of steel :(

Ach. In that case I will go with the Tuniq Tower, and another case - any nice ones you'd recommend? (not necessarily ThermalTake). I've heard Lian Li's are nice..

take your current HD's + Vista + your DVD drive. = new PC for 500, although you can upgrade to a q6600 processor, if youd spend more, or a abit ip35 pro, or Ocuk value 8800GT.. ram is fine.. that case is excellent..

as a tip avoid the thermaltake, not that great, not solid enough build.. bad cooling and cable management.

re-think what you need new and what u will keep. from what youve said keep the CD DRIVES/HDDS/VISTA and thats all i think, all else new should be good.

if you have a laptop use that, sell everything off and put the money towards the build:D

good luck

You say the TT's have bad cooling and cable management then spec an Antec 900, hah! :D

I've got no idea, it's prolly fine but I would be looking for full tower :-).
And check how the HDDs are mounted, it's very helpfull when they are mounted sideways because of the newest GPUs being huge it's good to have some extra space between them and HDDs.

As I said I'm more than happy with my shark but at the end the choice belongs to you. I can also advise Antec 190 (182s bigger brother) if the weight doesn't scare you.

Dont just look at the speed ;-).
It's not all about it.
The thing is to match the ram with CPU so they can possibly run at 1:1 divider and no one bottlenecks the other. 1150 ram will allow you for 570fsb OC and u wont get that unless you invest in liquid nitrogen ;p.

The GeIL I gave you should run without probs at 900mhz at 4-4-4-12 timings which gives you 450fsb on cpu and that is 450x9 = 4050mhz with 1:1 ratio and ram at 4-4-4-12 which will give you more performance than 1150memory at 5-5-5-15/18.

Even 800mhz memory will be more than fine for it, I run my 2gb dragons at 930mhz 4-4-4-12 so can definitely reccomend :).
