Anyone know of a nice GUI to show and administer network shares in an XP environment ?

I have an "always on" download machine, and share various folders to all the other PCs in my house. I keep forgetting what I called the share, anything easier to administer them all together ?

Thanks

Right click My Computer>Manage> Shared Folders. That not an option for you ?

There is an mmc snap in that shows Shares, but it won't allow me to set them up there...

Yup, said it was.

Start->Run->"\\mycomputersname"->OK... then you can see all the shares on that PC.

Yes, but not hidden shares. That's half the problem, it's easy to forget what you called the share and you have to go to the machine to find out.

Why are you even setting up hidden shares? Surely you can just connect to the computer with \\<computername\C$

C$ is a hidden share itself, same goes for D$ etc. gives you access to everything.

Whenever I try to connect to C$ or D$ I get a password box, with;

remotemachinesname\Guest

but it is greyed out and I can't edit it to put the administrator username in it.

So I can't connect to them.
