Dear All,

I want to set-up a VPN connection, so that me and my friend can access each others NAS boxes.

I am currently running Windows 7 Enterprise (x64) and my friend is running Windows XP Professional (x86).

What is the best way to set-up the VPN connection to access each others NAS boxes ?

Thanks in advanced.

Bashy.

It may be easier to forward the sharing ports on your routers and share that way. No need for any sort of server that way, just an idea.

Thanks all for the advise given. But I need to start installing and developing my skills using Windows Server 2008. As I want to progress at and move onto either 3rd support or server administrator.

Also does anyone know if I can install Windows Server 2008 onto the Acerbic Revo R3610 - I know it's not powerful that atleast I can get so practice and expand my current knowledge.

Yes it should run ok. I have 2008 running as a DC on a Atom Dual Core 1.8 running WSUS and WDS perfectly fine. However this is only a test box.
