right guys,

I've managed to get a prime stable 3.024ghz from my q6600 (any lower vcore and the prime test fails on one or two worker threads after a few minutes.

settings are -

FSB : DRAM - 1:1
Memory timings 5-5-5-15
FSB - 336 Multiplier - 9
vcore in bios - 1.3750 V
DRAM voltage - 1.800 V

I'm wanting to get to a stable 3.2ghz but when i tried this using the same settings as above apart from upping the FSB to 356, windows loaded but then hung on log on......i upped the vcore to 1.3850 but again the prime test failed on 1 or 2 worker threads.

Any suggestions on what i should try next? do i need to worry about increasing the voltage going to my RAM, or change the timings or what?

What model RAM are you using, usualy they have a sticker on the side stating the voltage and timmings.

i'm using 2 x 1Gb PC5300 667mhz PNY DDR2 ram.......

I've ordered some of this to replace it with tomorrow.

sorry, just re-read your post, they don't have any timings or recommended voltages on them, although i'm going to assume it's between 1.8 and 2.2v like the other pny stuff and the default timing is 5-5-5-15 .....
