Guild wars (1st GW)

i have the 1st Guild wars games and 2 of the expansion packs, however i cant remember the details i used when i signed up, as it was about a year ago.


is there any way i can recover the account?

What can I do if I forgot my account name/email address?

Your account name is usually your email address. If you created the account from a PlayNC or NCSoft Master Account (usually only if you have multiple Guild Wars accounts) it will be username@plaync, or username@ncsoft, where username is a name you chose that you can look up in your plaync master account. If you are still stuck, contact support and see if they can help.

What can I do if I forgot my password?

Start the Guild Wars game client. There is a link below the password field that says "Reset password". You will be prompted for confirmation. After inputting that information, a new randomized password will be sent to your email account; however, this will only work if your game account is not linked to an NCsoft Master Account. If your game account is linked to an NCMA, you will not be able to reset your password, although you can change it by logging in and using the Edit Account option in the lower left of the Character Selection Screen. If you cannot recall your password in order to log into the game, or if you have other difficulties, contact support.

For situations like this, the majority of the time, it is best to seek help through the developer/publisher first rather than a public forum.
 
Any luck with the support? I am also trying to recover my account, contacted the support team on Friday but still no reply from them. I am not going to spend on the game again (game bought online on an older pc. lost the emails and codes.. :( ).
 
I have also emailed them, been waiting 2 days for a reply

i hope for a reply soon, if not I will wait till I build my pc and then just go on GW2
 
I'd hardly expect them to be quick with dealing with enquiries for GW1 when GW2 has just launched, they're not a pay monthly MMO.
 
I would have bought GW2, but all local shops sold out and I cannot afford 25GB download over a 8MB ADSL line (ADSL2 not invented on Anglesey).
 
Still no reply. GW2 sold out on Anglesey. Cannot buy digital version because it will breach my download limit (aswell as 3 days to download).
