Just went online for the first time in a good few months and there is barely anybody around! It's sort of fallen out of favour with me recently, but it's still a bit of a shame!

A lot of the old GvG stalwarts have quit, which made it less interesting to watch obs mode for me.

You gotta hand it to GW, it was the only game which, even during periods when I wasn't playing, I felt like tuning in and watching some matches, and had teams that I rooted for and was happy when they won just like if I were watching televised sports.

Well at the moment everybody is crammed into Shing Jea for the weekend event. I imagine it's pretty sparse everywhere else.

My guild's dead simply because there is now nothing new to look forward til around 2010, thats a long time and there is no new content being released for the original I really dont understand why they couldnt have worked on another expansion while working on GW2, such as what they did with Factions/Nightfall.

That's true, it would have been better to divert some people to cram out another campaign, but I guess that would have defeated the point of EOTN. They really drove a lot of people away by announcing GW2, it was a bit of a marketting blunder. Considering how much EOTN sold they could've milked it for another 6 months with a single additional campaign.

How are alliance battles these days? Last time I played I only did a bit of random arenas and they seemed less populated than usual, since I had to wait a relatively long time to get into a match.

They could have always done a 2nd expansion that details the possible events that took place place between Eotn and GW2.

I played GW over all of the Beta weekends and realised how bad it would be for me to play throughout uni too, so I never bought it :p

EotN had loads of things to grind for, which was meant to keep poeple playing. But it doesn't seem to have worked. The EotN areas are very empty and the expansion not held in high regards.

I would really like to get into Guild Wars again, but i just found it so hard to enjoy! I bought Factions collectors edition as it looked pretty cool and since then i played it for about 2 weeks! From what i could see there was pretty much zero side missions so you were stuck on 1 main mission path which i got stuck on so i quit :/

I never finishe EOTN, I quite liked it though, I thought there was a good variety of quests and at least the bits of it I've seen were really really polished, showed of ANet's experience at designing PvE content to the full. I also thought the solo bits were quite imaginative (you know, stuff like 1v1 tournaments against mobs) and gave you free rein to come up with silly unusual builds to get through challengers that would have normally been quite a challenge for your class 1v1. At some point I'm gonna go back to it, get my Black Moa minipet and muck about with all the OP pve-only skills they introduced in EOTN and factions to see how sick a build I can come up with:p

Unfortunately, the GvG metagame seems to be a bit stagnant atm which makes it boring to watch, so I don't see myself ever getting into a GvG guild again. I'd love to do some more HA, seeing as you can pug it to an extent and don't need to play every day if you don't have a guild depending on you to be online so they can field a team, but I reckon it'dbe hard for me to get a decent group, cause I stopped doing HA way before they turned it to 6v6 so I missed all those double fame weekends etc. I was r4 I think before I quit, and I'm guessing by now even the scrubbiest of scrubs will be r9 and I'll be consigned to the bottom of the pile begging for a place in the crappiest of pugs.

I'm R2 and truth be told I've had the most success when the team decides use Randomway got to HoH a few times using that idea, I miss the old Tombs system really loved it back when it in that format.

I've got the game and expansions and played for a couple of weeks and really enjoyed it, however I felt while played it I should be playing WoW for some reason, don't know if it was just unfamiliarity. But the draw of WoW is too strong.
