Guild Wars Order

I'm afraid i would have to disagree with you there, my Ranger and Monk can stand up to any other build including the nightfall ones without any use of nightfall skills on my part.
If you're talking RA or alliance battles that may be so, but I challenge you to find me ANY top-100 guild that doesn't use at least one monk with Light of Deliverance and at least one copy of Dismiss Condition in its GvG builds. And if we're talking Rangers, by far the most effective build is R/Mo with mending Touch and Natural Stride. I haven't seen a single Burning Arrow or Crippling Shot ranger in any GvG match without those skills for ages! Not that others don't work, just that this one works BEST and with a noticeable difference! There is literally no need to use any other stance, nor any other self-condition removal, unless of course you don't own Nightfall.

Holy thead revival Batman!!1oneone!

I've read this thread through and taken onboard the comments about playing prophecies first as it's the best for a newbie, and to be honest I hope it is the best one to play 1st as nightfall seems to have pretty steep learning curve.

The missus has got me Factions and Eye of the North for Christmas and would like to know what your opinions on it are? I've read mixed comments on Factions, but I'd love to start a assassin character as a change, as I always end up being a Tank/DPS Warrior/Champion in the mmos I play.

cheers:)

I thought Factions wasn't too bad really, I ran quite a bit of it with one of the Godless members. It was worth it just for the ritualist class, such an enjoyable class to play and has pretty much replaced my Dervish. Just need to get another elite skill to have an alright solo build and also get some armour that doesn't scream. "I'm a man wearing a short skirt - l0lz"

Now if only I could afford line rental/broadband costs. :( Curse my sketchy temp worker ways and numerous monthly outgoings!

I was looking at the starting area of Prophecies to be honest it looked pretty ugly, I take it the instance zones are a bit prettier. unlike Nightfall where it's all stunning.

Not one to moan about graphics, more just a question really

The initial areas of GW are pretty grim looking but that's just the ruins of Ascalon. Once you're into the mountains or jungle areas it's a nicer area to look at. :)
