Was having issues yesterday while playing guildwars. Usually my FPS sit at between 70-120 but yesterday the game was freezing for 1second or so and then when it unfroze my FPS was stuck between 15-20. rebooting the system seemed to cure it for about 10 mins and then it would freeze and do it again. I put settings on my GPU and CPU back to default but was still getting the same problem.

Am i missing something?

Edit

Forgot to mention when the FPS are dropping GPU load jumps from about 50% to 100%

Sounds like a symptom of driver crash....frame rate would sometimes dropped to hell after the driver crashed and then recovered, and won't recover until the PC is rebooted.

You might have to try another driver set to see if it fixes the issue. Also, how is the temp of the card?

Could either be a driver problem or a actual problem with the game that will be patched soon i would imagine thye had same proble with borderlands 2 at release for 1-2 days.

Failing the above maybe bad coding in the game

I sometimes get a terrible drop in FPS(gtx670), but that's only when there is a hell of a lot going on, ie a champion world event with 50+ people.

Only time i was getting it was when i was just stood alone with nothing going on around me other then a few mobs wondering around.
