Guilty Gear Xrd

3d...i thought arc system is the only company keeping classic 2d. i guess blazblue didnt sell enough to justify the cost.

i am definitely looking forward to this. a new fighting game that is as fun and nutty as marvel 3 but harder to play.

It is still 2D though.

They are just going SFIV/MvC3 style, but with a better/consistent visuals. (IMO any way since I like me some anime).

The most interesting thing is seeing the "Unreal Engine" logo there. So hmmmmmmm.......

2d sprites still looks better. blazblue is a great looking game, better looking than sf4 and on par with mvc3 in my opinion (and it has much better net code than them both), i was hoping they build on that and take 2d even further. i am glad blazblue is getting an anime though.

This looks great and I would love to play it but I know nobody local is going to bother with it =( I had a similar problem with KoF XIII I picked that up and loved it but I didn't have anybody to play with.

Yeah traditional 2D sprites would be great, but if this is easier for the developer and it also allows for smooth animations, I'm still interested to see how they will go.

Finally a new Guilty Gear!!! Looks good, werid for Arc System to be using Unreal Engine. Guess the sprites won't be hand drawn like there previous games. Unless thats for the backgrounds only.

Hope it doesnt take long to come out over here like Persona 4 Arenda did.

I vaguely remember reading it somewhere, but can't remember if this applied to ArcSys or SNK, but for method they do character sprites, they were actually 3D but converted into 2D in the previous games.

that was in blazblue. they also animate in 3d first before they redrawn the whole thing in 2d.

anyone else got this yet? it kind of hard to do stuff like instant air dash for me on a ps4 pad. still managed to do half of may's trials:)

i think i can probably do most of her trials pretty consistantly with a stick. havent played a human yet as my movement and combos is still pretty wack and i still struggling to understand some of the game mechcanics

you can get it easily by making a us or jap psn account and get it online. us is probably easily because you can pay by paypal. even if you got it in the japanese account, the game for some reason is in english so eveyone can play.
