Irish Car Bomb --> 2/3 (about) pint Guinness, and drop a shot glass with 2/3 Irish Whiskey and 1/3 Baileys into it. Drink before it all becomes a congealed mess. It's quite lovely really.

He seems to think it tastes nice, that somehow it tastes like chocolate, to me it tastes just outright horrible, nothing like chocolate. However, he's usually in more of a state than me at the end of the night, I like to take my time and savour my drinks, he seems to think it's a contest at times. I think it just ruins a half pint of Guinness, lovely,lovely, lovely Guinness.

Guinness is a meal in a pint, the rest are just drinks.

I was under the impression that larger compared to guinness has almost the same amount of calories.

lots of largers have more kcal than guinness!

You are living in Cornwall to be fair, I'm not surprised the people are a bit odd. Although lime cordial sounds like it could work quite well, what you describe first is a snakebite and black here.

But Guinness being a stout is much thicker and creamier to drink so whether the calorific content is less or not you tend to feel fuller with a pint of Guinness.

Larger has more: 40.3kcal per 100ml compared to 30kcal in Guinness.

Sorry mate - was doing out of memory! I've not found a pub in the UK willing to give me one, although I quit asking for them after about 2005....too many weird looks from bartenders put me off!

A snakebite is half lager half cider. Then you order what you want in it separately, e.g. "snakey B" or "snakebite and lime". So you were both wrong
