I am a beginner to the guitar and have a Marshall MG-15 DFX Guitar-Amp. The problem is there are so many settings / knobs to turn that I don't know which settings to use. I like playing reggae music so which configuration would give me the best sound for this?

what guitar have you got?

i actually find most amps only have one or two sweet spots in terms of sound, then i just vary it on guitar switching to different pickups, rolling back volume and adjusting tone.

anyway for reggae, id stick to clean channel, switch to back/middle pickup on guitar. on marshall amps i always heavily roll down the treble as find them harsh and tinny for clean sounds. something like bass 6 mid 7 treble 4. i wouldnt have any of the fx on for reggae either. just a nice clean sound, no reverb
hope that helps!

Hmm reggae is ahard one all i know is that for Sigur Ros songs i set treble and middle to the middle setting and turn bass up quite a bit....then try to basically get as much gain and overdrive as possible without it overpowering everything . I agree with the post above that Reggae needs to be quite clean.
