Hi All,

I've been interested in learning the guitar for a while but haven't been brave enough to take the plunge, until now!! :D

I think I've decided on the following:

Yamaha PACIFICA112J
Marshall MG15CD 15 Watt Combo

Going for the pacifica in the Mist Green colour, I haven't been able to find a picture of it but found the translucent green and I'm guessing it's the same!

Anyway, I'm now wondering what DVD to go for, I've seen that there are so many so I was interested to hear from you guys as to what you would recommend from your own experiences?

Thanks a lot,

Ino

Not sure as to a DVD to buy, but simply playing a track that you really like that sounds relatively simple will help you improve but more importantly increase your confidence.

Green day tracks are a good place to start.

Brainstew is great for Power chord practice.

Get yourself Guitar Pro 5, Great for learning to play. I swear by it :D

@Zefan: Nice Sig, I went to see them last week in sheffield! Amazing show! They truely do own the stage!

I started off with the pacifica 112 and a marshal MG-15CDR - If you can get this version of the amp for an extra £10, go for it - the added reverb can really improve the sound on some songs, I tend to have it wacked all the way up most of the time but maybe thats just me...
